Kelvin Wells, PhD

Dr. Kevin Wells is an Assistant Professor within the Research, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment of Educational Research as part of the School of Education at the University of Southern Mississippi.  Currently, he teaches research and advanced statistical methods. Dr. Wells holds a BA and M.A. in History from the University of North Texas and earned his Ph.D. from Baylor University in Educational Psychology with emphases in quantitative methodology and human development.

Before joining the University of Southern Mississippi, he served as adjunct instructor at Baylor University in Texas. Dr. Wells co-authored nine papers based on a secondary analysis of the Steps Towards Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program (STAMPP), which was funded by the National Institute for Health Research. In addition to his research agenda, Dr. Wells spends his time advising other faculty and graduate students on the statistical methodologies for their research projects.
